How long will we be without a bathroom?
Around three to four weeks on site for a typical main bathroom, assuming selections are locked in before demolition. The waterproofing cure is a fixed part of that and should not be rushed.
Is asbestos likely in Shire bathrooms?
In homes built or renovated before about 1990, yes, it is possible — particularly in wet-area wall linings and older fibro additions. A sample is tested before the job is priced, and removal is done by a licensed asbestos removalist.
